Janvier – Protéger l’eau potable : les captages de Moulines
Action essentielle de ce mandat, la reconquête de la qualité de l’eau potable distribuée aux Caennaises et aux Caennais doit faire l’objet de toutes les attentions. Premier acte incontournable de cette stratégie, la mise en œuvre des périmètres de protection des captages constitue une obligation depuis 1992 !!! A Caen, les précédentes équipes n’avaient pas jugé utile de les mettre en place sur deux des trois sites de production de la ville (Prairie et Moulines). Après deux ans de travail et de concertation, c’est le dossier concernant les captages de Moulines qui est présenté au Conseil Municipal. Il prévoit un investissement de 4 millions d’euros afin d’éliminer les risques de pollutions ponctuelles et accidentelles à proximité des captages.
Le travail de concertation avec les agriculteurs présents sur les périmètres a conduit la ville à engager une stratégie de contractualisation avec la SAFER afin de procéder à des échanges de terres pour favoriser des pratiques agricoles plus respectueuses de l’environnement sur les aires d’alimentation des captages.
